Warburton's 100 year old Karalice House was Vic Rails’ accommodation
for drivers in the days when majestic steam-rail brought honey-mooners
from Melbourne to the picturesque township of Warburton.
Renovated to the highest standards, this
historical cottage retains much of
its original charm, with
polished hardwood floors, leadlight windows and
original “VR” sash windows.
The
cottage reflects a French Provincial style, with crisp, white linen,
elegant
and cosy furnishings and modern amenities.
Fully self contained,
Karalice boasts 3 bedrooms (main with full en-suite), spacious
main bathroom with spa bath, separate toilet, European laundry,
country style kitchen, gas coal fire, split system for further
heating and cooling, a HD digital flat screen TV, DVD & CD
players and wide range of books, magazines,
board games, DVD’s and CD’s for your viewing and listening pleasure.
Outdoors you will find
delightful, fragrant gardens with pathways leading to sunny
nooks or leafy glades. French doors open onto several deck areas -
the main bedroom’s deck gives magnificent views across the
garden to Mt Victoria while the main entertaining deck is the
perfect place to enjoy a BBQ and views to the park beyond where
the 100 year old oak tree gives lovely, summer shade. Step outside
the
front gate and you are in the main street of this pretty hamlet town.
